Show which elements I wish to see, edit the page to my specifications.
Be able to edit the front page so the most useful elements to myself are at hand quickly without having to open/ search numerous pages first.

could you give us an indication of the kinds of things that you are thinking of? You have to click through numerous pages to get the information you want - which pages do you click to?
